I will give up my crown on March 3, 2012.
My Joy is full, I am so grateful for this incredible journey this year.
I wanted to share my ad pages. I am so blessed!
Mrs. Utah Ad Pages
Koins for Kenya
I am excited to share my latest mission. I have had a burning desire for some time to help less fortunate people in a third world country. I value my education and want others to enjoy the beauty of learning and loving the process. So, I have decided to help the children in Kenya and bring to them, the love of learning by providing a school in …Kenya. It’s not every day that you get to help change a life. The need is abundant amongst our brothers and sisters in Africa and this year we have a wonderful opportunity to help!
Here’s how it works. It costs about $10,000 to build a new school. $25 will build a desk for 3 students, $100 will provide 50 new books for their library, and $350 will provide for one year of tuition for a high school student. We have already raised over half the money but we need your help with the rest! I invite you to talk among your family and friends about how you can help. The school will be built in July 2012 and we will share pictures and video with everyone who donates. Please join us and let’s give the gift of education to our brothers and sisters in Africa!
To learn how to make a donation please contact me or you can go here to see how much money we have raised so far and to make a donation online. Thanks for helping us reach our goal of $15,000!

My “Royal” Girls
I am so proud of my 4 amazing daughters, all are royalty in the Lord’s eyes
and preparing to be celestial queens one day. As Mrs. Utah America, I want to thank you for your support this year. I will give up my crown on March 3, 2012, at the Ogden Egyptian Theatre. (come see the event!) It has been an incredible year. A journey I will always cherish. I have met so many amazing individuals who have touched my life in so many ways. I pray that I have touched lives through my journey as well. I have had multiple Key note speaking opportunities, ribbon cutting ceremonies, Gala’s, welcoming home our Troops from Iraq, fundraising events and most importantly, I have had the opportunity to hold 8 workshops for young girls this year….”Be Your Own Kind of Beautiful” helping them to recognize their innate gifts, God-given talents and being the conscious creator of their lives. Each time I teach a workshop, I wonder if one of these girls present will be the first female President of the United States, if so, I have influenced a nation. I am so grateful for the opportunity I have had to have a voice for my platform “Embrace Your Place” an organization which helps women of all ages to recognize that where they are is exactly where they need to be and when they can embrace it, that can move to where they desire to be and make a positive contribution in the world. I am so grateful for the opportunity I have had to serve Utah this year. My journey is not over; it is just the beginning of many wonderful and amazing opportunities. I feel so very blessed! A very special thank you to my husband and my family for supporting me in “Following my Dream.”

Beauty is What Beauty Does
On November 5, 2011 we had another workshop for girls age 10-18. It always warms my heart to see girls of all ages gather to learn and understand who they truly are and what they came here to accomplish!
I love to share with them the importance of seeking after their best gifts and sharing it with the world. When they “awaken” to who they truly are, their world changes. They have the desire to serve. I love to help them recognize their innate gifts and God given talents. I also love to help them learn the 5 tools of conscious creation. They are in control of their lives! I always see “lights” turn on during this portion of the presentation, they come to recognize that the words they speak, the thoughts they think and the choices they make, all work together to create an energy in their life that can be negative or positive depending on the words they use and the thoughts they think and the things they choose to do. That is why ‘BEAUTY is what BEAUTY does’. We are only as beautiful as the choices we make, the behaviors we represent and the actions we take. Everyone of these amazing girls is BEAUTIFUL! You can see it in their eyes, the window to their souls. They are beautiful because they are accountable! We do an exercise where they commit to “never pass the buck”. They each receive a dollar bill that has this pledge written on the bottom, as a bookmark to remind them that they are accountable for the choices they make. No need to blame or pass the buck! I love what I do. My life was touched today by these amazing girls….each offering a special gift that no one else can offer. Each has come to identify and recognize the importance of being their Own Kind of BEAUTIFUL.
Helping Women of all Cultures “EMBRACE Your PLACE”
I had the opportunity to travel to Tokyo Japan last week. What an amazing culture. They live a very busy, fast paced lifestyle; I thought my life was busy! I observed thousands of people every day, traveling by train, taxi, and bicycle or on foot to reach their destination. Each person has a primary end goal or destination in mind. Most are focused, very few people pause to nod, speak or say hello.
Every time I visit Japan, I have what I refer to as an “awakening.” I always wonder why I have to be half way around the world to realize the things my creator wants me to know. I realized while I was away that life is too short. We make lists, over schedule and we try to accomplish too much in a day. We are so worried about completing our tasks at hand, that we overlook some of the greatest priorities in our life. I took a deep breath and decided that I needed to re-direct some of my energies. I am so grateful for awakenings like this. They cause us to S-L-O-W down and enjoy the small and simple things. When I am away for too long, after I return I find myself kneeling at my children’s bedside, while they are fast asleep and asking the Lord to allow me to know what it is I can do as their mother to best meet their needs at this time in their life. Then, I always look at their feet; they seem to put into prospective how quickly they are growing. I picture those tiny feet at birth, 18 months, 2 years…. They just keep growing and growing and then one day, their feet have that “adult look” about them. Life is too short; we have to savor those small feet, those precious moments that are here today and gone tomorrow!
I also had the opportunity while in Japan to help women of a different culture, recognize their innate gifts and God-given talents. I love helping them to understand the emotional and spiritual aspects of loving who they are and what they came here to accomplish. I was blessed this trip to meet with a group of “healers.” They have such big hearts. They want to help others, just as I do, to overcome the limiting beliefs that keep them bound. It is my desire to help women, all over the world, to sore; to spread their wings and fly with the Eagles. To be the very best that they can be and then to help others recognize and demonstrate the same. I love helping them “awaken” to the giant within each of us. We are all one of God’s greatest creations and yet we play small and feel insignificant. It is time to PLAY BIG, to love who we are and to savor the small and simple things that mean the most. For each of us, that will be different but whatever it is for you, savor it, cherish it and never forget that the small and simple things create life changing moments!
Live BIG Jr.
Live Big Jr. was an amazing opportunity to help young people recognize their innate gifts and God given talents. The transformation that occurred in their “break though” process over the past two days was an incredible journey. I loved watching these young kids and teenagers experience this process. It was especially rewarding to see my own daughters experience transformation in their own lives. Kayla had this limiting belief that she could not acquire friends. She had a breakthrough and not recognized her magnetic and fen personality that can attract good friends and keep them for a life time! Marissa was confident and excited to move forward as a powerful creator. The bonding that took place was beautiful. I was grateful for the opportunity I had to encourage all the participants to set their goals, live BIG and see their dreams come true. As Mrs. Utah America, I continue to have opportunities that have created a beautiful journey for me.
I am passionate about helping young kids recognize that they are p powerful creators. Know the 5 tools of conscious creation helps them move forward in pursuit of their dreams. Those 5 tools include our thoughts, words, action, beliefs and attitudes. Remember your attitudes and beliefs create your thoughts and feelings which determine your choices and decisions. “I am” accountable. Your decision to choose to live life on purpose and with passion takes on a whole new meaning. Remember to LIVE BIG!
Live BIG Jr. Coming Up!

This event will be completely focused on training this rising “Hero Generation” how to understand who they truly are and their own unique gifts strengths and talents-and how to appreciate the truth in others. They’ll discover how to stand taller with greater confidence so they can own their own voice and not be swayed by the pressures that surround them. We will show them how they can create the life that they want and how to choose happiness, and how to be “creators” and not “victims”.
(and we’ll even be teaching them a little about Money too…)
We have 10 extremely gifted trainers including myself who will be guiding their learning
through games, stories and activities they will never forget.
If you are at all interested check out the website

Serenity Retreat June 2011
A song from our Key Note Speaker, Darin Adams, about the importance of passion.

What an amazing weekend. It was my privilege to host a Serenity Retreat in the beautiful mountains of Oakley Utah. The retreat is to help women identify their passions and seek to obtain life balance. We covered the 5 areas of creating life balance and were joined by several guest speakers. Thursday evening I addressed the spiritual aspect of life balance, encouraging the women to create time for “stillness” in their lives. To leave the incessant noises of the world behind and seek to come to know who they are and what they came here to accomplish. The key to spiritual balance came through the powerful word…Namaste. Which means to honor the place in you, where the universe resides. To honor the place in ourselves of light, love, truth, peace and wisdom.
On Friday morning we enjoyed a gratitude walk. Then we were joined by Neil Anderson of GPP fit. We learned the amazing things that can be accomplished when we acquire general physical preparedness. We are more healthy and able to take on all of life’s challenges. It was very educational and informative. We are all on the pursuit for optimal health! Friday afternoon we learned the emotional benefits of essential oils from Robin Jones and Cherie Burton. It was a powerful presentation that reminded us of the importance of wholeness and the benefits of caring for our emotional needs and assisting other in theirs. Friday evening we were entertained by Darin Adams from KSL Studio 5 on the pursuit of our passions. He was so entertaining! We thoroughly enjoyed his passion filled presentation with fun stories and sound principles.
Saturday morning we wrapped up the 5 areas of life balance with the financial portion. Annette Mease from Unlock your Brilliance came from Boise Idaho to share with us. She was so powerful in presenting the limiting beliefs that are associated with money. She showed us how to unlock our own brilliance and shine forth because no one can shine like we do.
The retreat was filled with good food, great company, new friendships and the enjoyment of nature. There isn’t a better place to draw nearer to God in creating life balance than being in his great creation! May we all pursue the pursuit of creating life balance through spiritual, emotional, physical, financial and personal development. Our purpose is to pursue our life passions and create balance in our business and personal lives as we enjoy the journey. I know for me, this was a journey I truly enjoyed. Thank you to the amazing speakers and the amazing women who made this retreat such an awesome experience! Now, we are equipped in our pursuit of life balance.
